Disruption is inevitable for any company. Organizations needs to adapt & embrace the #futureofwork & enlist all employees to crowdsource #innovation.

The #CIO plays a pivotal role in this paradigm shift. The 2 ‘I’s, #Innovation #intrapreneurship has to be at the forefront. A team with new culture & identity:

  1. #Engineers with #Startupmindset
  2. Employee #Intrapreneurs with #disruptiveinnovation mindset

IT has an image problem from the business side(revenue generating folks) of most organizations.

The CIO organization needs a make over. It cannot just be seen the ‘IT’ department, just just a support organization. It has to be driver of growth for the core business.

It needs a clear separation from IT support. A shift from cost center to profit center.

This can be achieved by creating a different org model. Each of the 3 ‘I’s having their own department and mandate. Then having a transformation & change management process with Technology as part of the core business model. Thus all employees can be part of the Innovation and Intrapreneurship DNA of the company.

This needs all out campaign within the company. Narrative matters in any transformation. Now more than ever in the #newnormal.
