The “E” in CEO should be “Entrepreneur” and “Employees”

With over 20 years of working and innovating in the technology industry, I have had unique experiences as an insider in the corporate world and an outsider navigating Silicon Valley. From consulting for over 150 Fortune 1000 executive teams, to be in the thick of innovation with my own startups and as an investor, I have learned the key mindsets that CEOs outside of Silicon Valley should adopt in order to avoid disruption and maintain a competitive edge in the fast-moving digital age.

My learnings have culminated in a series I call “Re-Visioning Organizations and Avoiding Disruption: Change the E in CEO”, where I present three key assertions:

1) CEOs should Lead with an Entrepreneurial Mindset.
2) CEOs should Engage, Empower, and Elevate their Employees.
3) Google’s 80/20 Rule Should be Universally Adopted.

The DNA of the ‘Next Normal’ CEO should be based in this simple core guiding principles. Being disrupted is inevitable, however, not preparing yourself and your company to the inevitability should be utterly unacceptable to the shareholders and stakeholders(aka your employees) #ceo #innovation #strategy #changemangement #businesstransformation #digitaltransformation #chieflearningofficer #chiefoperatingofficer
